The costume design was based on photographic research of farming families in Ireland in the early 2000s.
The set design was a particular challenge. It was an extremely small stage and the play required multiple locations indoors and out with a very low budget. We used the intermission to change the home from the Reilly’s to the Muldoon’s using small touches to signal the transformation.
